Privacy-first design: Fexo BG Remover does not sell your photos, does not build advertising profiles from your images, and does not share your processed images or originals with third parties for commercial purposes.

Your Photos & Images
Your photos are the heart of Fexo BG Remover. Here is exactly how we handle them:
What We Access
- Photo Library Access — used to import images you select for background removal. We only access photos you explicitly choose.
- Camera Access — used when you tap "Take Photo" to capture a new image directly within the app.
- AI Processing — your image is processed by our on-device AI model to detect and remove the background.
What We Do NOT Do
- We do not upload your photos to any server for permanent storage.
- We do not use your images to train AI models or for any commercial purpose.
- We do not share your photos with advertisers, data brokers, or any third party.
- We do not scan, analyze, or extract personal information from your images.
- We do not access your entire photo library — only the images you specifically select.
Local processing priority: Background removal is performed on-device whenever possible. When server-side processing is used for advanced AI features, images are processed in temporary memory and deleted immediately after the cutout is returned — typically within seconds. No copies are retained on our servers.
Batch Processing
When using the Batch Image (Pro) feature to process multiple photos at once, each image follows the same privacy rules described above. Batch results are saved exclusively to your device's storage.

How We Use Your Data
- To power AI background removal: Your selected images are processed by our AI engine to detect subjects and remove backgrounds with pixel-perfect accuracy.
- To enable editing features: Crop, adjust, custom backgrounds (solid colors, gradients, photos), and manual brush refinement all process your image locally.
- To export your creations: Save results as PNG (transparent), JPG, or WebP (Pro) in High, Medium, or Low quality.
- To improve the app: Anonymous crash logs and usage analytics help us fix bugs and improve features.
- To personalize your experience: Your chosen language (English, Arabic, Chinese, Hindi, French), theme, and settings are saved locally.
- To deliver Pro features: Verify your subscription status to unlock batch processing, WebP export, and high-quality output.
WE WILL NEVER:
- Sell your photos or personal data to any third party
- Use your images to train AI models without your explicit consent
- Share your photos with advertisers or data brokers
- Access your photo library beyond images you explicitly select
- Use facial recognition or biometric analysis on your images

Storage & Security
On-Device Storage: All your photos, cutouts, edit history, and preferences are stored locally on your device. We operate no remote database containing your personal photos or image data.
Server Processing: When advanced AI processing requires server-side computation, images are transmitted via encrypted HTTPS, processed in temporary memory, and deleted immediately after the result is returned. No copies are logged or retained.
Crash Reporting: Anonymous crash diagnostics are transmitted securely via Firebase Crashlytics using encrypted connections. No photos or personal data are included in these reports.
Data Deletion: You can delete all stored data at any time by:
- Deleting individual photos or cutouts from within the app
- Clearing app data via your device Settings → Apps → Fexo BG Remover
- Uninstalling the app, which removes all local data permanently
We follow industry-standard security practices. All data transmitted externally uses TLS encryption. Your photos and creations never leave your device for permanent storage on our infrastructure.

You can revoke any permission at any time via your device settings. Revoking photo library access will disable image import, but other app sections remain accessible.

Third-Party Services
We use a minimal set of trusted third-party tools strictly for maintaining app quality and powering features:

- Google Play Services / Apple App Store: Core platform libraries, app delivery, in-app purchases, and update mechanisms.

- Apple StoreKit / Google Play Billing: Handles subscription purchases. Payment information is processed by Apple or Google — we never see your payment card details.
No data brokers, cross-app tracking SDKs, or user profiling services are integrated. We do not share your photos or edited cutouts with any advertising partner.

Subscriptions & Purchases
Fexo BG Remover offers a free tier and Pro subscription plans (weekly, monthly, yearly) that unlock features like batch processing, WebP export, and high-quality output.
Payment Handling
- All payments are processed by Apple App Store (iOS) or Google Play Store (Android).
- We never collect, see, or store your credit card numbers, billing addresses, or payment details.
- Subscription management (cancel, refund, renew) is handled via your device's App Store or Play Store settings.
What We Track
- Subscription status only: Whether you have an active Pro subscription (yes/no).
- Anonymous purchase events: Aggregated, non-personal analytics about which plans are popular.
Your financial information is handled entirely by Apple or Google under their own privacy and security standards. Fexo FZC LLC has no access to your payment methods.

Your Rights
Depending on your region, you may have rights under GDPR, CCPA, or other privacy frameworks. Since virtually all personal data stays on your device, exercising your rights is straightforward:
- Right to Access: Your photos, cutouts, and settings are always accessible within the app.
- Right to Deletion: Delete photos and cutouts in-app, or clear all app data via device settings.
- Right to Opt Out: Revoke photo library, camera, or storage permissions at any time.
- Right to Opt Out of Personalized Ads: Use your device's advertising settings to opt out of interest-based ads, or upgrade to Pro to remove ads entirely.
- Right to Portability: Export your creations as PNG, JPG, or WebP at any time directly from the app.
- No Discrimination: Exercising privacy rights does not affect your ability to use the app.

Children's Privacy
Fexo BG Remover is not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect any personal information from children.

Parents should supervise children's use of any photo editing app and ensure they do not upload images containing personal information or images of other minors without proper consent.
